Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to share my recent experience with Rockford Eye & Laser Center. My name is Melissa, and I am a Training Developer and Facilitator for Landstar. I have worn glasses most of my life because my eyes were too sensitive to wear contacts. This made most of life's enjoyable aspects a chore. I am a very active person and trying to swim, dance, and workout without my glasses was a pain.

I began to be intrigued about LASIK surgery about five years ago. After doing a lot of research and meeting many local doctors, I chose Dr. Yoon. I found him to be humble, yet extremely professional and thorough. My initial consultation was free, and the ladies in the office provided me with star treatment. From the moment you walk into the office, you have a warm feeling. The ladies quickly learn your name - so you are not just a number- yet an important client. The great news was - I was a candidate for this procedure! I was elated!

Two weeks later and after another appointment - I had my procedure. I was amazed at the fact that it was painless - I was extremely nervous because I do not like anyone touching my eyes. By the time I walked into the room for my procedure - I was calm, relaxed, and ready!

The results were immediate!! I remember crying to my husband that night at how amazing I felt. For the first time I could see my husband's and children's faces - glasses free (you can't put a price on that)! I now see 20/15, and I wish I would have had the procedure earlier!

Lasik surgery was the best decision I ever made. I decided to do only my left eye and leave my right eye alone. I now have 20/15 in my left eye, which I use for distance, and use my right eye for reading. It has been 7 months since my laser surgery was done, and I would do it again.

Having this surgery has completely changed my everyday living. I have two small children, and I love that when they get up in the middle of the night, I no longer have to try and find my glasses. Also getting ready in the morning is so much faster not having to clean contacts and put them in.

Dr. Yoon is an excellent eye surgeon with extensive experience. As a physician, I appreciated his MIT engineering background. I rely on my eyes, and I couldn't be happier with the result.

Dr. Yoon did my Laser Vision Correction. I am very happy and have not had any problems. I really enjoy not having to wear glasses all the time. The procedure was explained to me thoroughly which made me feel at ease going into it. Dr. Yoon and his staff were very nice and patient. Thank you for helping me see better than ever! I would recommend it to everyone who is tired of wearing glasses and trying constantly to keep them clean, especially if you work outside.
