Dr. W. Steve Yoon, M.D. Dr. Herbert Becker, M.D. Dr. John Choi, M.D. Dr. Christina P. Miller, O.D.
Dr. W. Steve Yoon, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist (medical doctor specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of eye disease). He specializes in laser cataract surgery, LASIK, PRK, and corneal surgery. He also treats glaucoma, diabetic eye disease as well as infections and inflammatory diseases of the eye. Dr. Yoon is a skilled and experienced surgeon who has performed thousands of successful eye surgeries. Many patients are seen on a referral basis from other physicians and eye care professionals.
Dr. Yoon grew up in Eastman, Georgia. He completed his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, MA. He received his medical degree from New York Medical College, one of the oldest private medical schools in the U.S., where he was chosen as a New York Medical College Trustee Scholar awarded to the top 15%. He completed his ophthalmology residency at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City where he served as Chief Resident. He also served as a fellow in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the Lions Eye Institute in Albany, NY, a specialty referral eye center.
Dr. Yoon has researched and published the effects of various medications on corneal sensation; lectured at professional meetings and has also designed diagnostic machinery used in medical and engineering research. With his background in engineering, he has a unique, in depth knowledge of lasers and technology used in ophthalmology. Dr. Herbert Becker, M.D. is a fellowship trained ophthalmologist in both Pediatric and Strabismus as well as Retina and Vitreous Disease. He has been practicing ophthalmology for over 10 years. He is a highly trained surgeon who performs extraocular muscle surgeries, vitrectomies, retinal repairs, laser surgeries, and various other ocular procedures on both children and adults.
Dr. Becker was born in Spokane, Washington. He received his medical degree from the University of Washington and completed his ophthalmology residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He then went on to The University of Illinois at Chicago where he finished two separate fellowship programs, one in pediatric ophthalmology and the other in vitreo-retinal ophthalmology. He has been treating patients in the greater Chicagoland area and Rockford since 1998.
Dr. Becker enjoys treating children and help everything from the premature infant eye care to adolescent eye alignment problems. As an accomplished retina surgeon, he helps to preserve sight with his diabetic and macular degeneration patients.
Dr. John Choi, M.D. is an oculoplastic surgeon with over 15 years of clinical experience. He treats patients with eyelid disorders (lesions, droopy or baggy appearance, scars, wrinkles, etc.) as well as tearing problems, thyroid eye disease, facial and eyelid spasms, and facial irregularities from scars, wrinkles, lesions, discoloration, and aging skin.
Dr. Choi received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School graduating Magna Cum Laude. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Doheny Eye Institute-University of Southern California. He served as a Fellow in Oculoplastic Surgery at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.
He is happily married and the proud father of three children. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and tennis.

Dr. Christina P. Miller, O.D.
is a highly trained eye doctor specializing in the treatment of eye disease and peri-operative care. She treats patients with glaucoma, retinal disease, and infectious and inflammatory eye disorders. She also sees patients in consultation for cataract and laser vision correction surgery and is involved with their post-operative care.
Dr. Miller completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo, Canada and received her degree in Optometry from Pennsylvania School of Optometry. Dr. Miller also went through a residency program in ocular disease, this is specialized training related to eye disease. She served her residency at Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates in Bel Air, Pennsylvania. Dr. Miller has been board certified by the American Board of Medical Optometry and has been recognized by the National Board of Examiners for Advanced Competence of Medical Optometry. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Optometry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Miller speaks English, French, and Italian.
In her spare time, Dr. Miller enjoys bird watching, running, reading, and cooking. She is a professional baker, plays the piano, and has 3 rescue dogs. Dr. Miller is a huge believer in life-long learning and is very passionate about all aspects of eye care.
